The Twelve Anabolic Targets

 

  • 2 different types of muscle growth: Hypertrophy refers to an increase in the size of the muscle fibers while hyperplasia refers to an increase in the number of muscle fibers. Only focus on one kind of muscle growth and you're already 50% behind in gains.
  • 4 different ways to stimulate muscle growth: To facilitate maximal muscle growth we must focus on the four most important muscle-growth variables which are the:

    • Weight used each set
    • Time under tension each set
    • Rest period between set
    • Total density per workout
  • 3 different muscle fibers to target: They are called Type 1 (slow-twitch), Type 2a (fast-twitch) and Type 2b (fast-twitch) and all you need to know is that we are limited to certain ones based on our genetic makeup. Listen: I'm not making this stuff up; you have twelve different ways to explode muscle growth all over your body.
